Interpretive Question #2 - pages 32 - 68

This question is based on the passage in Fahrenheit 451 that begins on page 58:
"Ah," Beatty leaned forward in the faint mist of smoke from his pipe....

And ends on page 59:"That's you, Montag, and that's me."

Use the entire passage above to answer the question.

Question:

In what way are the opinions and ideas Beatty expresses in the passage true for most people, at some point, in some way? Isn't it possible that you have felt some semblance of those opinions or ideas -- whichever ones apply -- at some time in your life? Write a response that will be at least two paragraphs, discussing specifically two (2) examples of how you have shared in some way the ideas or opinions Beatty talks about in the passage from the novel.
